Business Overview

1962 The "first" Fuji Keizai Co., Ltd. is established as a company specializing in marketing research, starting with the Tokyo head office (currently the Tokyo Marketing Division) and the Osaka branch (currently the Osaka Marketing Division).
1963 Begins publishing the monthly marketing report MR.
1965 Establishes the Nagoya branch (currently the Nagoya Marketing Division) in December.
1969 Publishes the Marketing Handbook of Food, which examines in detail products in a selected food area. It serves as a starting point for the later food handbook series including the Foodstuff Marketing Handbook.
1967 Establishes a group company, Fuji Merchandizing Center (FMC). Fuji Keizai transforms itself from an independent marketing research company into an integrated marketing research group that covers a wide range of the business fields.
1970 Publishes the Marketing Handbook of Drugs. It served as a starting point for the later prescription drug handbook series including the Ethical Drug Data Book.
1972 Begins publishing the Marketing Handbook of Cosmetics.
1980 Begins publishing the Battery Market: Comprehensive Survey for Current Aspect.
1981 Opens Fuji Keizai Data Laboratory (currently Fuji Global Network Co., Ltd.).
1983 Begins publishing the Market of Notable Mechatronic Parts: Comprehensive Survey for Current Status.
1987 Begins publishing the Clinical Examination Market.
1993 Opens the Beijing office. Fuji Keizai becomes the first integrated marketing research company to expand into China.
1994 Fuji Keizai merges with Zhonglian Economic & Technology Development Corporation and establishes Zhonglian Fuji Keizai Consulting, Inc. in Beijing, China.
1996 Fuji Keizai Data Laboratory starts an online data service FK-Mards (it starts with a network communication service).
1999 Fuji Keizai participates in an international trade fair, IFAT 99 (Munich, Germany), as an exhibitor in May.
2002 Begins publishing the New Market of Power & Energy System.
2005 To strengthen the group management, Fuji Keizai becomes a management company and renames itself as Fuji Keizai Management Co., Ltd. in June. Fuji Keizai is spun-off as an operating company marking the beginning of the "new" Fuji Keizai.
2006 Fuji Keizai acquires PrivacyMark certification.
2011 The Tokyo Marketing Division is relocated to the akebono Nihonbashi Building (Koami-cho, Nihonbashi) in June.
2012 Fuji Keizai celebrates its 50th anniversary.
2015 The Osaka Marketing Division is relocated to the Yodoyabashi Flex Tower (Koraibashi) in October.
